About WeFreeze Photography
Who are Danny and Jinny?
We’re Danny and Jinny — a husband-and-wife photography team based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. We founded WeFreeze Photography in 2008 and have spent over 15 years documenting weddings across Malaysia and internationally. We specialise in soft, documentary-style wedding photography that feels natural, warm, and timeless.
How many weddings have you photographed?
We have photographed over 500 weddings since 2008, covering a wide range of cultures and celebrations — Chinese wedding banquets, Indian Hindu and Tamil ceremonies, Malay weddings, church weddings, garden weddings, destination weddings, and intimate solemnisations.
What is your photography style?
Our style is soft, documentary, and emotionally driven. We use natural light wherever possible and prefer an unobtrusive approach — blending into the background so we can capture real, candid moments rather than posed shots. The result is imagery that feels genuine, elegant, and timeless.

Booking & Pricing
How much does wedding photography cost in Malaysia?
Wedding photography pricing in Malaysia varies depending on coverage hours, the number of photographers, and the package inclusions. At WeFreeze, our packages are tailored to each couple’s needs. We encourage you to contact us directly for a personalised quote — we’re happy to work with your budget and requirements.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking as early as possible — ideally 6 to 12 months before your wedding date, especially for peak seasons (Chinese New Year, school holidays, and year-end). Popular dates fill up quickly, so early enquiry is always advised. That said, we do occasionally have availability for shorter-notice bookings, so don’t hesitate to reach out even if your wedding is approaching soon.
Do you require a deposit to confirm a booking?
Yes, a deposit is required to secure your wedding date. This ensures your date is exclusively reserved for you. The remaining balance is typically due closer to your wedding day. Full details are outlined in our booking agreement.
What is included in a typical wedding photography package?
Our packages typically include full-day actual day wedding coverage, a second shooter where applicable, professionally edited high-resolution photos delivered via an online gallery, and printing rights. We can also include pre-wedding shoots, album design, and prints as add-ons. Contact us for a full breakdown.
On Your Wedding Day
How many photos will I receive?
The number of photos varies depending on coverage hours and how many key moments occur throughout the day. On average, couples receive between 300 to 1,200 professionally edited images depending on the package and coverage hours. Every photo is carefully selected and edited for consistent tone, colour, and quality.
How long does it take to receive our photos?
Edited photos are typically delivered within 4 to 8 weeks after your wedding date. We take great care in editing each image to our signature soft, natural aesthetic. You’ll receive your gallery via an online link for easy viewing, downloading, and sharing.
Do you shoot both the groom’s and bride’s preparations?
Yes — we typically cover both sides of the getting-ready process. For Chinese and Indian weddings especially, the morning preparations are full of meaningful rituals and emotional moments that we love to document. If preparations happen at different locations simultaneously, we’ll discuss the best approach during our pre-wedding consultation.
Will you visit our venue before the wedding day?
For destination or unfamiliar venues, we like to do a site visit or at minimum review the venue layout and lighting in advance. This helps us plan the best angles, anticipate challenging lighting conditions, and ensure everything runs smoothly on the day.

Do you photograph Chinese weddings?
Yes — Chinese weddings are one of our specialities. We have photographed hundreds of Chinese wedding banquets, tea ceremonies, and ROM celebrations across Kuala Lumpur and Selangor. We understand the customs, key moments, and cultural significance involved, ensuring nothing is missed.
Do you photograph Indian weddings?
Absolutely. We have over 10 years of experience photographing Indian weddings in Malaysia — covering Hindu temple ceremonies, Tamil weddings, North Indian celebrations, and Punjabi Sikh weddings. Our familiarity with Indian wedding traditions means we anticipate key rituals and capture them beautifully.
Do you photograph church weddings?
Yes — we regularly photograph church weddings across KL, Petaling Jaya, Penang, and beyond. We work respectfully within church guidelines and are experienced shooting in varied lighting conditions typical of church interiors.
Do you photograph Malay weddings?
Yes — we love photographing Malay weddings and have covered many beautiful ceremonies across Malaysia. From the solemnisation (akad nikah) and bersanding to the berinai and reception, we understand the significance of each moment and capture it with care and sensitivity. We work respectfully within cultural and religious customs throughout the day.
Do you do pre-wedding photography?
Yes, pre-wedding photography is a big part of what we do. We shoot at locations across Malaysia — from Kuala Lumpur cityscapes and Langkawi beaches to garden estates and colonial buildings in Penang. Destination & Travel
Do you travel for destination weddings?
Yes — we love destination weddings! We have photographed weddings and pre-wedding shoots in New Zealand, Tuscany (Italy), Bali, Chiang Mai, Singapore, and many other locations. Travel and accommodation costs are covered by the couple and we’re happy to provide a full quote for any destination.
Do you cover weddings outside of Kuala Lumpur?
Absolutely. We regularly cover weddings in Penang, Langkawi, Ipoh, Johor Bahru, Sabah, and across all of Malaysia. Travel within Malaysia is typically covered as part of our package or with a modest travel allowance for outstation assignments.

Yes — for full-day weddings we typically work with a second photographer to ensure comprehensive coverage. This is especially important for Chinese and Indian weddings where the groom’s and bride’s preparations may happen simultaneously at different locations.
